How to measure Reveal Fit - To fit inside the recess/opening:

• Measure the width in three places (top, center, and bottom).
• Use the smallest width and Deduct 5 to 10mm (5mm on each side) for clearance.
• Measure the height/drop,  No deduction required.

Note: Minimum recess depth / Clearance required for fitting roller blind in the window frame is 100mm.

How to measure Face Fix - To fit over or outside the opening (two methods - choose the best for your space):

Method 1

• Measure the window width and add 100mm (50mm on each side).
• Measure the height and add 100mm to avoid drilling into the lintel and another 100mm to clear the sill. Note: A protruding sill may impact blind movement.

Method 2:

• Measure the area you want the blind to cover, keep in mind clearing the lintel at the top.
• Bottom overlap is optional. If there’s a protruding sill, consider stopping the blind at the sill.

Special Notes for Double Roller Blinds

• Dual Fabric System:
  Double roller blinds are designed with a dual fabric system, offering multiple light control options. A single control chain allows you to seamlessly raise or lower the blind, creating a distinct visual impact whether fully open, closed, or positioned somewhere in between.
• Exclusive Cassette System:
  These blinds are supplied with our Exclusive cassette system and a 38mm tube. Our upgraded cassettes and bottom rails are available in the following colours: White, Grey, Black, Ivory, and Brown, replacing the older fabric-covered cassette designs for a more modern look.
• Material Width and Gaps:
  The fabric is 35mm narrower than the ordered width to accommodate the mechanism, leaving a 20mm gap on the control side and a 15mm gap on the idle end.
• Standard Rolling Configuration:
  The double roller fabric comes standard in a waterfall (front) rolling configuration.
• Alignment for Adjacent Blinds:
  If blinds are to be mounted next to each other and fabric alignment is required, please specify this in your order. However, due to the nature of the fabric, perfect alignment of horizontal fabric bands may not always be achievable.
• Potential for Fraying:
  Double roller blinds may be susceptible to fraying if they roll skew. Ensure proper installation and handling to avoid this issue.
• Motorisation Option:
  Double roller blinds can also be motorised for added convenience and functionality.
• Recommended Use:
  To ensure longevity, these blinds are best suited for domestic environments where they will not be lifted frequently. For high-usage areas, we recommend considering alternative products.
• Primary Function:
  The primary purpose of double roller blinds is to filter light through their layered fabric, offering both aesthetic appeal and functional versatility.

Tips on How to Measure for a Roller Blind

• Decide on the Mounting Style
  • Reveal Fix (Inside Mount): The blind fits inside the window recess. This gives a neat, flush look.
  • Face Fix (Outside Mount): The blind is mounted outside the recess, covering the entire window area.
• Use a Steel Tape Measure or Laser
  • Always use a sturdy steel tape measure for accuracy.
  • Measure in millimeters (mm) for precise results.
  • If using a laser, it’s always a good idea to double-check the measurements with a tape measure.
• Measure Width
  • For Reveal Fix: Measure the width inside the window recess at the top, middle, and bottom. Use the narrowest measurement.
  • For Face Fix: Measure the width of the area you want the blind to cover. Add at least 50mm (5cm) on each side for better light control and privacy.
• Measure Drop (Height)
  • For Reveal Fix: Measure the height inside the window recess at the left, middle, and right. Use the shortest measurement.
  • For Face Fix: Measure from the top of the area you want the blind to start (usually above the recess) to where you want it to end.
• Consider Control Mechanism and Brackets
  • Only for Face Fix: Add 35mm to the blind width to accommodate the control and brackets
  • If your window has obstructions (e.g., handles), ensure the blind can roll freely without interference.
• Double-Check Your Measurements
  • Re-measure to confirm accuracy before placing your order.
  • Remember, the size you order is the exact blind size. The fabric width will be 35mm less than the total width.
